If a tree falls in the forest...

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother. If you ask writers and journal keepers, some of them will say they do not write for an audience, they write for themselves. To them it is irrelevant if what they write is ever read. I think that's a load of bull. Once the writing is done, it is meant to be read, it is what it was created for.

Anyway, I have this blog. I have friends and family I have sent this blog link to. And lately it seems like absolutely nobody reads this freaking online journal I keep. I want some freaking comments, please!

Why am I throwing a pity party for myself? This world we live in is pretty isolated. Those of us who work and have families do not have oodles of time on our hands to connect with people. A lot of our present-day socializing is done online. But online there are people who are isolated. And today I am feeling pretty isolated. I hate that feeling.

  1. OK, I tell you what. Not too long ago I destroyed my entire MySpace page because nobody was posting comments or even posting to my blog. I thought nobody would even noticed I had taken everything down until I spoke to Ton and Ig and they said that "yeah, we noticed" but didnt say anything thinking I was just "re-decorating it"! I had a tantrum that day, but then realized that we are lucky enough to have 1 friend, 1 comment, 1 posting, 1 picture. In our cause, we have several friends, who post comments, who blog, who we share pics with, who we are silly with. If not every day, 1 a week is pretty incredible. You dont have to be married with kids to feel isolated. I feel isolated every day, at work, at home and I sit next to 50 people at work every day and live Carlos. So I guess my point is, know that even if we dont talk every day, blog or post comments TODAY, there is always tomorrow and your friends might surprise you, just like me now, blogging in your page!

  2. Oh, don't stop blogging! How else will I be able to catch up on your life??

I mean, I get busy and don't have time to read blogs... but I always come back and do catch-up reading when I have a break. Like now.

As for my blog, I have people who read every day and NEVER comment. Then I talk to them and tell them what's going on in my life, and they're like, "I know, I read your blog." LMAO!!
