Waxing Moon- Almost there

I took this photo to participate in the June photography challenge at the blog One Man's Travels. This is the first time I participate and my entry is quite literal, entirely on purpose. I love looking at the Moon, but this is the first time that I have actually taken a picture of it. What I like about this picture is how the shape of the almost-full Moon gradually fades into darkness.

  3. Brilliant!!! What a fantastic photograph... It perfectly captures everything that was intended by the challenge. The colours, the detail, the emotion.... truly mystical!

I am like you, I love looking at the moon. My mind immediately wanders off into nowhere, as I try and imagine the people in history that have looked up and seen the same view.

I am so glad that you took part, your interpretation is stunning!

  4. Hi I took part in Grahams challenge too. I think the pitch black sky is a beautiful contract to the golden colour of the moon in your photo.

Well done on your first try of shooting the moon.

I am also enjoying the enthusiastic photos of your beautiful little girl. Such a delight she is, full of life and smiling and totally unafraid.
